11th Annual Glass Art Show & Sale
Uniquely Kootenay
You are invited to participate in a juried glass exhibit at the Radium Hot Springs pools in Kootenay National Park from June 23 - October 31, 2012. This exhibit will be viewed by an audience of over 80,000 visitors and features artists from Western Canada.
Artists are encouraged to creatively interpret the theme of "Uniquely Kootenay" within the context of the natural or cultural features of Kootenay National Park. If wildlife or plant life are depicted, the species interpreted should be native to the park ecosystem. See bottom of this page, to view samples of artwork from previous shows.

The artwork will be hung from the ceiling and must be ready for hanging with the appropriate framing and hardware attached for doing so. Artists are responsible for ensuring that hardware is sturdy enough to easily bear the weight of the piece. The Canadian Rockies Hot Springs is not responsible for damage due to failure of fixtures that have been attached by the artist. We reserve the right to refuse any pieces that do not have sufficiently sturdy fixtures.

Show environment: The panels will be hung in the public reception area of the Radium Hot Springs pools, a room that has 20 windows 120 cm wide by 195 cm high (48" x 78"). The panels will be hung as high as possible within the directly lit area to allow natural light to illuminate the work and to avoid possible damage caused by viewers. The room is staffed at all times and there is sufficient space for visitors to linger and enjoy the artwork. The show will be accessible daily during operating hours.
Shipping: The successful artists are invited to deliver their panels in person. Once the jury has made a final decision, you will be contacted and arrangements can be made at that time.
