DESCRIPTION: "Greenman - God of the Forest" was inspired for this year's theme of Fire and Ice. The leaves represent the various trees that occupy the Kootenay area - Elm, Poplar, Oak, and Maple - in an array of colours of the seasons. Charred branches signify the forest fires that ravaged the Kootenay Mountain Ranges last summer. Greenman watches over the lifecycle of the forests.
ARTIST'S BIO: Colleen discovered her love of stained glass at the Medicine Hat College in the fall of 1998. Now, she spends most of her spare time pursuing her craft. She says, Glass is definitely my passion; the more intricate and challenging, the better!
