DESCRIPTION: This piece reflects the sheer magnitude of the ice fields and the beauty it creates around us. My inspiration for choosing the ice fields came from memories when I used to travel through the Rockies on summer holidays as a child and even now as an adult. The snow-covered mountains with the ice fields are a mesmerizing spectacle.
ARTIST'S BIO: Six years ago I became hooked on glass after I attended a weekend course and learned to make stained glass stepping-stones. Soon after, I desired more challenges and progressed to stained glass lamps and panels, with the help of my husband Steven s carpentry skills and knowledge. I am inspired by the infinite possibilities created by the different textures and colours of the glass. I gain great satisfaction in the challenges presented in each project I tackle. |
