In this work I was motivated by my love of nature and fear for our planet through human short-sightedness ARTIST's BIO: Karen is a teacher and has enjoyed a lifetime of evolving creativity. Her hiking experiences in the mountains and love of the area around Invermere inspired her work. She studied art at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, Haliburton School of the Arts, Pilchuk Glass School and Simon Fraser University. Featured in more than 35 residential and commercial installations, her work appears across Canada and in other countries. She hikes, sails, kayaks, travels and reads voraciously.
