DESCRIPTION: I was amazed at the number of different flowers that grow in these higher mountain areas - and they were all so beautiful! After cutting down my choices, I decided on the Calypso Orchid. I noticed that the flower was just as stunning towards the end of its life as it was in full bloom.
ARTIST'S BIO: Karen has been working with glass since 2001. She finds that glass isn't static - it has movement and that the trick is to use that movement in the glass to create the works of art. Karen does commission work as well as her own glass art creations. Her work is featured in Two Rivers Gallery and Kumbayaz Gallery in Prince George.
