Spring Thaw
Cherie Dobbie - Campbell River, BC
$300
I recall spring picnics in Kootenay Park with my family. This panel reflects the early thawing of creeks and the resilient little spring flowers springing up at the first warmth of sun.
Cherie was born and raised in Invermere and now lives on Vancouver Island. She began working in stained glass using the copper foil method in 1998. After a few years she experimented using scraps by gluing pieces to a large clear panel and built a big window for her greenhouse. She loves the mosaic method as it invites both movement and greater freedom. Much of her work is influenced by the West Coast where she loves to do pieces that reflect the movement of water.
