Canada Goose

Commonly found in the Columbia Valley wetlands, the Canada Goose signals the change of the seasons in spring and fall with migrating flocks in V-shaped formations. These strong fliers can cover more than 1000 kilometers in one day. Nesting occurs in the same area where parents nested and often in the same nest each year. These pairs mate for life and ensure the safety of their young by nesting at the tops of very high trees.
Betty has created this piece with a glass mosaic construction on plexiglass. She finds inspiration in living near Kootenay National Park and enjoys the wild birds of this beautiful area. Betty has enjoyed doing crafts and painting for much of her life. Betty began working with mosaics two years ago.
