Divine Prey
Victoria Jongenburger
28" x 44"
$2600
The artist features two red tailed hawks in a mating ritual. The segmented back ground is reminiscent of a native dream catcher. You may also see a large cross in the background. The panel is constructed as a lead glass window with 3 dimensional overlays.
"There is something about the mating of birds of prey that gives me a sense
of connection with the divine. The way they soar to new heights and trust
each other implicitly as they plummet towards the earth. I can not help but
be awed by their dance. I was lucky enough to see a mated pair several
years ago just before twilight. How they winked in and out of the dying
sunset left an indelible impression on me that I will never forget."
