Bald Eagles' colouration is gained after four or five years. Both male and females of the species have the distinctive white head. The Latin name is Haliaeetus leucocephalus Haliaeetus denotes sea eagle, and leucocephalus referes to its white head. ABOUT ARTIST: Suzanne enjoys the mountain views and small town life in Sundre. With the help of her family, she is encouraged to try bigger and more challenging artwork.
