High On the Rockies

"Not far from where I live, there is an active bald eagle nest that I watch on an ongoing basis throughout the spring and summer months. This panel portrays the magnificence of a bald eagle soaring over the Rockies. It is both high in the sky and, I assume, high on life in the Rocky Mountains."
Gary pursued a successful career as a medical scientist, professor and administrator at the University of Saskatchewan. He began to explore glass as an artistic medium some 25 years ago. He says: "I have always been powerfully attracted to the beauty of the natural world that surrounds us - from the intricate microscopic details of biological structure that I studied as a scientist to the scenic panoramas that inspire me on a walk. In observing my work, I want each viewer to develop a deeper appreciation of the natural wonders that enrich our lives at every moment." Gary is represented
by the Artym Gallery, Invermere.
