DESCRIPTION: "The Bald Eagle, mountains and water are as one to me. With this in mind, I undertook the realization of this vision, using the bald eagle bevel cluster as the focal point. The Rocky Mountains and a lake being synonomous to Kootenay National Park were then added. To highlight the vision, black glass frames the corners and clear bevels surround it all."
ABOUT ARTIST: Mal is an accomplished stained glass artisan, bringing his excellent combinations of color and texture selection to his glass artistry. His work includes small and large window hangings, lamps and sun catchers. He began exploring the endless textures and colors of glass in the mid 1980 s and established his own stained glass business in 1990 while working full time for New Holland Credit. His time since retirement is spent on the pursuit and creation of art in the stained glass media and in teaching. His work is featured in many galleries and private collections. |
