"This Owl fits our desire to portray wildlife in a most realistic manner. We chose a pattern designed by Rob Torres and worked with him to adapt the design for our use in this panel"
Great Horned Owls are found in virtually all of the forested regions of North, Central and South America. As a year-round resident of Kootenay National Park, they nest early in the year, often incubating eggs while there is still snow in the ground. Young owls do not move far away from where they were born. Hunting at night, they may attack prey as large as a porcupine.
Bob and Flory discovered Stained Glass after retiring in 1999. Their love for the medium has led them to open a studio and work on commissioned pieces for clients. Their greatest passion is making wildlife, western and flower panels. Their work has been juried on numerous occasions and they display their panels in Central Alberta venues as well as on Canadian and American websites.
