Retro Swim Event - September 6, 2010, 10am to 4pm

Come celebrate the 125th birthday of National Parks in Canada!

Dress up in a vintage swim suit or retro swim cap and pose for the camera for a souvenir photo of the Banff Upper Hot Springs. Our on-site photographer will capture a great image of you and your clan. Historic rental swim suits (circa 1920's) and funny retro swim caps (free) available on site. Watch for more detaiils to follow.

Water Flow

The spring water flow has returned - soak in the scenery and the natural mineral water

Since 1998, greater than normal reductions in winter flows from the source of the Banff Upper Hot springs have been experienced. This has occurred quite regularly each winter in the past decade. The flow always returns in Springtime. For more information, please click here.

Roam

A New Experience in Public Transit

The Town of Banff bus system transforms into a unique new public transit experience, when Roam arrives on our streets on June 2, 2008.

Banff is the first municipality in Canada to introduce an all-hybrid electric transit fleet. Along with their special environment-friendly features, the new buses look special too; they are wrapped in authentic Banff National Park Wildlife imagery. Each bus features a unique back-country view of grizzlies, elk, goats and wolves.

What's a transit "experience"?

Roam encourages visitors to view transit as a convenient, fun and environmentally-friendly way to get around town. Residents will feel good about their decision to take transit instead of their cars.
