Since 1998, greater than normal reductions in winter flows from the source of the Banff Upper Hot springs have been experienced. This has occurred quite regularly each winter in the past decade. The flow always returns in Springtime. For more information, please click here.

A New Experience in Public Transit

The Town of Banff bus system transforms into a unique new public transit experience, when Roam arrives on our streets on June 2, 2008.

Banff is the first municipality in Canada to introduce an all-hybrid electric transit fleet. Along with their special environment-friendly features, the new buses look special too; they are wrapped in authentic Banff National Park Wildlife imagery. Each bus features a unique back-country view of grizzlies, elk, goats and wolves.

What's a transit "experience"?

Roam encourages visitors to view transit as a convenient, fun and environmentally-friendly way to get around town. Residents will feel good about their decision to take transit instead of their cars.
