The scenery at the Canadian Rockies Hot Springs is breathtaking. A picture can help convey this experience to your existing and prospective clients. Please review the following terms of use and then select the photos that you wish to use. Once your request has been submited the photos will be made available for you to download.

Photographs - Copyright Terms of Use

• This Canadian Rockies Hot Springs Photo Library contains images of the Banff Upper Hot Springs, Radium Hot Springs and Miette Hot Springs (the "images") in .jpg format and are made available to tourism industry and operators - including: travel writers, media representatives, and other travel trade representatives for use in promotion of Canadian Rockies Hot Springs as a tourism destination.
   
• Images are available at no cost, and may be reproduced for the following purposes:
  • Promotional materials, not intended for retail sales, such as brochures promoting a specific area and/or all of Alberta, British Columbia or Canada.
     
  • Convention and trade show materials, not intended for retail,
     
  • Articles for newspaper and magazines featuring the Canadian Rockies Hot Springs,
     
  • Web sites promoting the Canadian Rockies Hot Springs.
• Images cannot be used for commercial purposes. For example, the following types of uses are prohibited:
  • reference materials related to tobacco and alcohol,
     
  • retail items or materials intended for sale such as books, calendars, postcards, place-mats, or screen savers,
     
  • personal and commercial letterhead and promotional materials,
     
  • materials designed for interior decoration,
     
  • packaging or promotion of products intended for sale,
     
  • advertising materials to promote non-tourism related business.
• The images are protected by Canadian copyright law, trade-mark law and international treaties.
   
• This is a license given by the Canadian Rockies Hot Springs to you as the user for a one-time use of one of the images you have selected and will include in the order form, and accompanying written material for a single use consistent with these terms and conditions.
   
• You may not alter the images electronically or otherwise or create derivative works. For example, you cannot misrepresent a location or create a false image by placing the Rocky Mountains in an Edmonton Skyline. However, cropping, sizing and creating montages are allowed.
   
• Anytime an image appears in print, credit must be given according to the credit information supplied with each image. Descriptive captions must also be included.
   
• You may not rent, lease, or sublicense the image but you may transfer all of your interest in it, accompanied by written materials, if you retain no copies and the recipient agrees to the terms of this license.
   
• Images reproduced on the Internet may only be used at 72 dpi or lower.
   
• In no event will the Canadian Rockies Hot Springs be liable to you for any claims, costs, losses or damages, you incur by using the Images.
   
• Copying the images and the material in whole or in part, except according to the terms and conditions of this license, is forbidden without prior written permission from Canadian Rockies Hot Springs.
   
• Users of the image(s) must provide the Canadian Rockies Hot Springs with a copy of the final product (magazine, brochure, newspaper, website address, etc.) in which the image is used within 2 months of publication.
